The above fees include all applicable taxes. Karate supplies (training uniforms, sparring gloves, books, tapes, DVD’ s, belts, T -shirts etc…) are available to purchase through the Dojo as well. Prices vary depending on size and quantity. These products are not mandatory for beginners to purchase and are subject to P.S.T.

Exam, camp, seminar and tournament fees are separate, and notice is given well in advance of these events.

Please make cheques payable to Donna Haskett.

It is strongly recommended that payments be made at intervals of three months, six months or annually, due to the on-going perseverance and commitment traditional Karate involves.

All fees are to be paid at the beginning of each payment term and are non-refundable. Fees may be paid by cheque or cash. A late payment charge of $20.00 will be applied to fees paid more than five days after the due date.

Rockwood Karate Club Event/Equipment Fees

Cost for a traditional Karate uniform known as the "Gi" varies per size and quality. See below for details. The Karate Gi is required to be worn by all students in class after one month of Karate training.

Belt or rank gradings have a designated cost depending on whether students are grading for "Kyu" or "Dan" grade. Passing of rank test usually requires a different colored belt. The cost of belts and gradings are listed below. Money is not refunded if the student fails his or her exam.

Tournaments, seminars, Karate camps and special events are priced based on duration and specific details. Advance notice is always given for these opportunities. While most are optional, all will be of benefit to our Karate students.

Gi Pricing

Gi's are available in various sizes and qualities, ranging in price from $49 up to $350. See our Policies section for care instructions.

Anyone wishing to purchase a top quality "Tokaido" Gi should speak to the Sensei regarding order and price information. Please note that the "Tokaido" is a requirement from the rank of brown belt and up (3rd Kyu).
