"I like Karate because it's active and helps me with self-defence. I am learning some Japanese, but I would like to learn more. Karate has helped me with strength and flexibility in other sports. I have learned some good focusing techniques. My mom says that this has helped my focus sometimes in other areas, too! My favourite Kata is Heian Nidan. I'm proud of what I've learned and my accomplishments. Sensei Donna is great, and it's neat to learn from the visiting Sensei’s too." - Kristian |

"Without being or sounding fanatical, or cultish, karate has become integrated into my way of life. Generally speaking I found that Karate allows you to focus on your entire being inside and out and thus allowing the spiritual being to develop and evolve. I started karate In 1980, when friends from university asked me to attend their Dojo in the east end of Montreal. They loved their Karate classes and this enthusiasm helped my interest grow into the loving it as well. If I were to have a mandate, I would say that constant evolution and development of thy personal self fulfills all desires in this life and prolongs the time spent here on earth."

Karate has given me clearness of mind so that I can focus on what I want to achieve in life, and the confidence to go after it diligently. I have had excellent health throughout my training years, again thanks to Karate. I find the techniques to be very exciting, and love to learn and share the Japanese language, philosophies and cultural ways.
Through karate I have discovered that anything (truly) is possible. It is my hope that students who train with us will make this wonderful discovery also. - Sensei Donna

What I like about Karate is the challenge! You are always trying to learn new techniques while trying to improve on others. I originally took Karate because it was always something I wanted to try. Now,with more than 2 years of training behind me, Karate has helped me become a stronger and more confident person. I have learnt the importance of dedication, persistence and perseverance through my training. - Laura |

“It’s been only a month as I started Karate training. But it already
helped me to discover some of my body’s potential, which I did not know
is there. Being 1.55 m and 44 kg, I never felt power in my moves. Karate
techniques allow to mobilize strength of the whole body in each move, so
that I do feel much stronger. It’s also a great workout, which keeps me
energized for the rest of the week.”
